What does this law do?

This Act

sets up a plan to permit persons contaminated with Hepatitis C and HIV, through the organization inside of the State of blood and blood items, to buy contract security and life certification approaches and yearly travel protection;

characterizes Hepatitis C conclusion in the Hepatitis C Compensation Tribunal Acts 1997 and 2002, and the Health (Amendment) Act 1996 as far as both of the accompanying logical tests: the 'ELISA test', the 'RIBA test', or the 'PCR test', or on the other hand, if the individual has shown manifestations of intense disease with jaundice up to 16 weeks after organization of against D. In the event that another test is recognized this can be included by Regulations;

New accomplices or life partners of contaminated persons who entered connections after the determination of Hepatitis C, will be not able to claim harms for loss of consortium.
