Man Infected with Bad Blood gets HCV/Hepatitis C

A MAN who contracted hepatitis C in the wake of being given polluted blood has told how his life has been destroyed by the oversight.

Graham Manning from Brighton, 47, was determined to have gentle hemophilia as a kid and given the blood through transfusions in the mid 1980s.

A huge number of hemophiliacs over the UK were tainted with either HIV or hepatitis C amid the 1970s and 1980s – an outrage depicted as the 'most noticeably bad treatment fiasco ever'.

A number of the 7,000 individuals contaminated have endured years of disease and trouble after erroneously being given blood items taken from high-hazard contributors, for example, whores and detainees in the US.

Mr Manning was determined to have hepatitis C in the mid 1990s when the outrage rose.

He said: "It has had an enormous effect on my life. On occasion I have a feeling that I have run a marathon, have torments in my joints and endure great tiredness and sorrow.

"I have had treatment in the past yet the drugs' reactions have been appalling, with influenza like side effects each day, a great deal of weight reduction and sentiments of suicide.
